It's important to stress that the structure of sleep presented in this module is an idealised one. Realistically, no two nights of sleep will ever look the same for anyone. So while it is still worth striving for an optimal kind of sleep, remember not to be too harsh on yourself.

Use this activity to reflect on how a typical night of sleep looks for you, and how this differs from an "ideal" night of sleep.

I go to bed at a similar time each night.

I fall asleep soon after going to bed.

I sleep right through the night.

I wake at a regular time without setting an alarm.
